Earlier, Poland said it would not shoot down Russian drones and missiles on Ukrainian territory and would not train military forces on Ukrainian territory.
The overwhelming majority of Polish citizens surveyed (58.5%) support shooting down Russian air targets in Polish airspace. This is confirmed by the results of a survey conducted by SW Research for Rzeczpospolita.
Specifically, to the question, “In your opinion, Poland should shoot down objects flying over our territory during Russia’s attack on Ukraine, even without knowing what these objects are?” 58.5% of Poles answered “yes”.
At the same time, 22.1% have the opposite opinion, while 19.4% have not yet decided on this matter.
The study was conducted on August 27-28 at the SW Research center on 800 adult Poles.
It was previously known that Poland will not shoot down Russian drones and missiles on the territory of Ukraine and will not train military forces on the territory of Ukraine. This is what the country’s Deputy Defense Minister Pavel Zalevsky said.
