Ukrainian paratroopers were able to capture seven Russian tanks.
The fighters of the 80th Brigade have managed to capture such a quantity of enemy equipment in the Kursk region since the beginning of the military operation of Ukraine on the territory of the aggressor country. The command of the Airborne Assault Troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this on Facebook on August 31.
Among the trophies were the newest T-90M, four armored T-80 BVMs and two T-72s.
Serviceman Bohdan, together with his comrades and representatives of the SBU, managed to capture several brand new T-80 BVMs in the vicinity of Sudzha. He said that he had always dreamed of capturing a Russian tank.
And the tank officer of the Galician brigade Dmitry said that the captured tanks will be a good addition and will strengthen the tank fist of the Lviv paratroopers in future battles with the occupiers.
Let us recall that on August 29, the Russians threw 17 units of various armored vehicles at the positions of the 46th Joint Air Defense Brigade in the Kurakhovsky direction. Some of the Russians blew up on mines, and the rest of the enemies were finished off by artillery fire, anti-tank missile systems and FPV drones. During the battle, 13 units of equipment were destroyed. Only four units of equipment were able to escape and return to their positions.
