The Mi-8 helicopter with 22 people on board disappeared in Russia

The helicopter crew reported no problems before their flight, Russian media reported.

A Russian Mi-8 helicopter disappeared in Kamchatka on Saturday, August 31. According to preliminary data, there were 22 people on board – 19 passengers and three crew members. This was reported by the Russian propaganda news agency TASS.

The helicopter belongs to the Vityaz-Aero airline. In the morning, it flew from the site near the Vachkazhets volcano in Kamchatka and almost immediately disappeared from the radar.

The helicopter crew did not report any problems before the flight, local media wrote.

Another Mi-8 took off to find the helicopter. In addition, a ground rescue team is preparing to deploy to the area where the helicopter fled.
