The Court for the Protection of Children and Adults initiated an investigation conducted by the guardianship authorities of Geneva, as a result of which it decided to deprive Durov of parental rights.
A Swiss court has stripped Pavel Durov of parental rights after an appeal from mother of three Irina Bolgar. Russian media wrote about it in relation to Bolgar social networks.
Irina said that at the end of 2022, Durov forced her to move with her children to the UAE, and he did not invite her to “move with him.”
After the refusal, Durov blocked access to all the cards used by the woman, stopped paying bills, and also refused to sign consent to extend the children’s migration documents to Europe and to issue of new ones.
“The Tribunal for the Protection of Children and Adults initiated an investigation carried out by the guardianship authorities of Geneva, as a result of which it decided to deprive Durov of parental rights in relation to our three children,” said the woman.
Forbes previously reported that Bulgaria filed a lawsuit against Durov for allegedly using violence against his son.
It was also reported that Telegram founder Pavel Durov was charged in France, after which he was released under judicial control, but with a ban on leaving the country.
Media reported that French authorities issued arrest warrants for Pavel Durov and his older brother, Telegram co-founder Nikolai, in March.
