The first of the newest fifth-generation F-35A Lightning II fighters of the Polish Air Force was officially unveiled. Poland will receive the aircraft in the Block 4 version with the Technology Refresh 3 (TR-3) package, which is the most significant evolution of the F-35’s capabilities to date.
Defence24PL writes that the first of the fighters, locally known as the F-35A Husarz, will be based at the Ebbing Air National Guard Base in Arkansas, where Polish pilots will be trained.
The first six aircraft are due to be built in 2024-2025, with deliveries planned until 2030.
The first Polish F-35A Husarz are scheduled to arrive in the country at Lask Air Base in 2026.
