The Polish government has approved a draft budget for next year with record defense spending: nearly 187 billion zlotys (about $48 billion). This was said by Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk and Polish Finance Minister Andrzej Domanski at a joint press conference on Wednesday, August 28, in Warsaw, reports Ukrinform.
“We have prepared a budget for construction and strength: we will build what is needed for Poland’s immediate security, as well as energy security. We have also agreed on record spending, and we are talking about more than 186 billion zlotys ,” Tusk emphasized.
According to him, this is a significant increase compared to this year, which was also a record year for defense spending.
