Ukrainian stormtroopers told about a risky operation in New York, Donetsk region. Five Russian occupiers allegedly hid in the elevator, but when our assault group broke in, it turned out that there were 16 Russians.
The group successfully stormed the grain elevator in New York (which our forces still maintain), writes journalist Yuriy Butusov, who published a video of testimonies from Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers.
They fought non-stop for three days, took 16 prisoners, and cleared out several houses with a group of fighters, most of whom were mobilized in May 2024.
The Ukrainian military underwent a month of intensive training in the 425th assault battalion “Skala”, received full support, a company commander from among former assault troopers, experienced sergeants – group commanders, drone control, fire support from an infantry fighting vehicle, a tank and drones, and successfully completed the combat mission. They fought for three days without losses.
This is another demonstration that even mobilized fighters, with the proper short training, with adequate management and with adequate task setting, are capable of defeating a numerically superior enemy in battle, comments Butusov.
