Radio Liberty has shown satellite images of a fire at an oil depot in the Russian city of Proletarsk.
The photos from August 26 show that the fire at the oil depot has somewhat died down. The two fire centers are located quite far from each other, meaning that drones could have struck the oil depot again on August 23, as reported by Russian media.
The oil depot in Proletarsk (Rostov region of Russia) has been burning since August 18 – it was hit by drones. The fire has not yet been extinguished.
The first tanks from which the fire started have already burned down to the background.
On August 26, the authorities of the Rostov region issued a statement that the air quality in the region is within normal limits, and the presence of harmful and toxic substances has not been recorded.
At the same time, residents of Proletarsk are massively distributing an appeal to local authorities in Rostov public groups, demanding that they provide official data on air pollution.
