Replacing Biden with Harris improved the Democratic Party’s chances in elections to both houses of the US Congress.
Vice President Kamala Harris has a 55% chance of defeating former President Donald Trump in the US presidential race. This is confirmed by the results of Decision Desk HQ/The Hill’s forecast, published on Monday, August 26.
It was also noted that after replacing Biden with Harris, the Democrats have a better chance of winning the House of Representatives and the Senate.
The GOP remains the favorite to retake the Senate majority, although a DDHQ/The Hill analysis puts its chances at 67%, down from 78% when Biden dropped out of the race. According to this forecast, members of Trump’s party will receive 51 seats.
In the House of Representatives elections, the Republican Party has a 56% chance of maintaining its majority. That’s down slightly from 61% when Biden led the Democratic Party.
Democrats need to win at least four seats to take control of the House in November, and they hope to do so amid enthusiasm for Harris.
Republicans currently control 220 seats in the House, while Democrats hold 211. There are also four vacant seats. The GOP caucus can only afford to lose four members on an all-party vote.
The campaign of US Vice President and Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris and its affiliated groups raised $82 million at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago last week, bringing to $540 million the total raised since the departure of President Joe Biden in the race.
It was previously reported that Harris and Trump’s debate arguments were jammed on microphones.
Euphoria Harris. Democrats believe in victory
