All trains that were temporarily stopped due to power outages following a large-scale enemy attack have already been picked up by reserve diesel locomotives and are continuing to operate.
Unfortunately, there was a hit on a railway infrastructure facility in Sumy Oblast, Ukrzaliznytsia reported on August 26. The contact network and buildings were damaged, the driver’s assistant was injured. He was hospitalized, there is no threat to his life.
Some train stations, also without power due to the shutdown in the city networks, have already been switched to backup generators and are being used as points of invincibility for city residents, where they can recharge their gadgets and wait in shelters until the all-clear signal.
Suburban electric trains in some regions are running with delays, but the situation with City Express in Kyiv and Dnepr is unchanged – running on schedule.
Deviations from the schedule are collected on the portal https://uz-vezemo.uz.gov.ua/
Ukrzaliznytsia promises to pick up passengers who missed their trains due to prolonged air raid alarms with the same tickets for the next trains on the same route within 24 hours.
