The British agency Reuters reported the death of 40-year-old security adviser Ryan Evans, who worked as part of a news team, as a result of a Russian strike in Kramatorsk, Donetsk region. The BBC reported this on Sunday, August 25, citing the Reuters statement.
“We are stunned to learn that Reuters security adviser Ryan Evans, who was with our team of correspondents in Ukraine, has been killed,” Reuters said.
The agency noted that Ryan Evans was one of six Reuters employees who were at the Sapphire Hotel in Kramatorsk at the time of the Russian strike.
“Two other team members were hospitalized as a result of the impact, one of them with serious injuries,” the journalists reported.
Reuters also reported that other members of the team had been contacted. For now, they are “proactively seeking more information, cooperating with Kramatorsk authorities and supporting their colleagues and their families.”
