Border guards celebrated the Day of the State Flag of Ukraine.
On the 20th anniversary of this holiday, the fighters of the State Border Service of Ukraine raised the flag over the temporarily occupied territories in the south of Ukraine. The State Border Service of Ukraine reported this on Facebook on August 23.
The published footage shows that the flag was delivered to the required point using a drone. The flag was installed at one of the highest points – a water tower. The State Tax Service did not disclose the name of the settlement where the flag was raised.
The National Guard showed how servicemen of the 34th Kherson Regiment raised the national flag in the occupied Oleshky of the Kherson region. A drone was also used for this.
As is known, on August 23, Ukrainians celebrate one of the most important state holidays – the Day of the State Flag of Ukraine. In 2004, this holiday was established at the national level by the decree of the then President of Ukraine Leonid Kuchma.
Let us recall that in June of this year, long before the operation of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Kursk region, the Ukrainian military installed the Ukrainian flag in one of the settlements of Russia. At that time, this daring operation was carried out by the fighters of the 71st separate ranger brigade of the Airborne Assault Troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
