The United States of America has expanded sanctions against the Russian Federation.
The list included 400 individuals and legal entities. The sanctions targeted entities related to the fuel and energy, metallurgical sectors, the financial sector, and dual-use goods for the military-industrial complex of the Russian Federation in circumvention of sanctions. This was reported by the US Department of the Treasury.
In particular, the sanctions concern the companies Ekropromstroy, Mezhregionstroy, and Yakut Fuel and Energy Company. The largest coal exporters from Russia are also banned: SDS Ugol, UK Mechel-Mining, AO Stroyservis, and two subsidiaries of Rosatom.
In addition, American sanctions have been imposed against Russian military development institutes, manufacturers of unmanned aerial vehicles and electronics, and companies serving the needs of the Russian military-industrial complex, along with their owners and management.
New sanctions have been imposed on intermediaries from a number of countries that helped the Russians bypass sanctions and supplied parts for Su aircraft. These are the UAE, Hong Kong, Turkey, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and China.
Let us recall that on June 12, the United States introduced new sanctions against individuals and legal entities that contribute to Russia’s military economy and help circumvent the sanctions imposed on it. The sanctions list included the Moscow Exchange, the National Clearing Center of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation, and the National Settlement Depository.
