To this day, columns of black smoke rise over the territory of the Marinovka airport and loud explosions rumble.
On Thursday night, the Security Service of Ukraine and the Special Operations Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces hit warehouses with guided aerial bombs (UAB) and fuel at the Marinovka airfield in the Volgograd region of the Russian Federation. Ukrinform reported this on August 22, citing a source in the SBU.
Marinovka in the Volgograd region is actively used by the enemy to bomb the front line in Ukraine, the interlocutor said.
“Local residents listen all night and morning in warehouses with UAB aircraft, ammunition and fuel and lubricants rising above the airport and loud explosions. The SBU works with operational precision at the airfields where the enemy is attacking Ukraine. Each such execution reduces the advantage of the Russians in the air and significantly limits their flight capabilities, “said a source in the SBU.
Let’s recall that on the night of August 22, residents of the city of Kalach-on-Don in the Russian Federation reported the characteristics of the sound of drones and explosions in the sky. The target of the attack was the Marinovka airfield in the village of Oktyabrsky, located a few kilometers from the city.
Later, a video of loud explosions at the Marinovka airport was published on social networks.
