The explosions occurred in the city of Kalach-on-Don, Volgograd region of the Russian Federation on the night of August 22; A fire broke out in the facility. The reason was alleged drone attack and air defense. This was announced by Russian Telegram channels.
Reports of explosions from local residents began to appear on social networks around half past four in the morning. The Russians said at least two UAVs were shot down.
The Baza Telegram channel says that one of the drones was attacked “several kilometers from the airfield,” and that the remains of the second UAV “fell into a cabin nearby, causing it to catch fire.”

Telegram channel SHOT stated that eyewitnesses from different places “counted from 6 to 10” loud explosions during the air attack, before the “characteristic sounds of a UAV flying” was heard in the sky.
Local authorities have yet to comment on the incident. There is no information about casualties.
