The Pokrovskaya MVA explained the statement about “two weeks for evacuation.”
Now we have almost 59 thousand residents in the entire community – two cities and 39 villages and settlements. We meant that there are certain categories of people – families with children, internally displaced persons, elderly people. And we have the strength and means to evacuate these categories in a planned manner… We have called and are calling on our residents so that this happens normally – without accumulation on the railway, on the highway, as it was in 2022, – explained the head of the Pokrovskaya MVA Sergei Dobryak on the air of the telethon.
It has become known that the police will search for parents hiding children from evacuation in Mirnohrad, another city near one of the most critical areas on the eastern front.
We have cases when parents bury their children. Today we will have a meeting with the police – how we will work with such people, how we will search for parents who bury children and give false information that the children have long since left. We will do house-to-house visits. We do this, but we will intensify these actions, especially in those areas of the city that suffer daily attacks, – said acting head of the Mirnohrad MVA Yuriy Tretyak.
The front line is now less than 5 km from Mirnograd. About 16 thousand people remain in the city.
Meanwhile, in Pokrovsk, the ATB store has suspended operations. As of today, the chain’s supermarket has closed its doors to customers. The administration reports that the nearest stores are in Dobropolye and the urban-type settlement of Mezhevaya.
Over the past 24 hours, part of Mirnograd and its environs were under periodic shelling. There were no casualties. This was reported by the Mirnograd MVA.
