By the end of the year, positions of deputy for European integration will be created in all regions of Ukraine.
Vice Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration Olha Stefanishyna told Ukrinform about this in a comment.
She noted that this will allow for better structuring of the state’s work with the regions and the introduction of closer cooperation on European integration.
The government has decided to accept the position of deputy heads of regional military administrations, the cities of Kyiv and Sevastopol for European integration. We have also defined clear job responsibilities for these persons. As a representative of the government responsible for compliance with these criteria, I have defined the performance indicators for their work. We expect proposals from the heads of cities and regions regarding such candidates, Stefanishyna said.
Thanks to this, by the end of the year it will be known what part of each region’s needs is covered by international aid. This will help make the budget more resilient to the burdens of the social sphere.
