German Chancellor Olaf Scholz believes that US presidential candidate Kamala Harris will be a good president if she wins the election. He said this in an interview on the Sat 1 TV channel, dpa reports.
Specifically, Scholz said he knows Harris “and he will definitely be a very good president” if he wins the November 2024 election.
However, the chancellor avoided the question of whether Harris would be a better choice for Germany as US president than his rival Donald Trump.
“Kamala Harris is a very good politician who will stick to what is important to us, and across the Atlantic there will continue to be good cooperation between the US and Europe, between the US and Germany,” added Scholz.
