The Republican distributed images generated by artificial intelligence, which should show the support of his candidacy from the famous singer.
US presidential candidate Donald Trump said on his social network Truth Social that famous singer Taylor Swift supported his candidacy. As confirmation, he published a selection of photos, but it turned out that almost all images were created by artificial intelligence. Reuters reported this on Monday, August 19.
So, Trump shared several screenshots of messages from the social network X, depicting women wearing T-shirts with the inscription Swifties for Trump (“Taylor Swift fans for Trump”).
The photo also includes a collage of Swift as Uncle Sam with the caption, “Taylor wants you to vote for Donald Trump.”
Trump captioned a selection of these photos with the words “I accept!”
But the journalists found that only one photo belongs to a real woman who once participated in Trump’s Apprentice show, while the rest were generated by artificial intelligence or a screenshot of a satirical article.
Trump campaign spokesman Stephen Chung did not comment on the specific message, other than to point out that “Swifties for Trump is a grassroots movement that is growing every day.”
Taylor Swift herself did not publicly support the Trump campaign, and in 2020 she supported Democrats Joe Biden and Kamala Harris.

It was previously reported that Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris is leading Donald Trump in five of seven key states.
