The Russian army continues to shell civilians in the Sumy region.
On Sunday afternoon, August 18, a Russian aircraft dropped a guided aerial bomb on the city of Belopolye. Preliminary, one person was killed and one was injured. This was reported by the Sumy Regional Military Administration on Telegram.
The consequences of the enemy attack are still being clarified. There may be people under the rubble of buildings.
All necessary services are working at the scene. The victims are receiving medical assistance, and the State Emergency Service is conducting emergency rescue operations.
Let us recall that on August 18, President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that during this week, Russian invaders used more than 40 missiles of various types, 750 guided aerial bombs and 200 attack UAVs of various types against Ukrainian cities and villages.
