The President thanked each unit that replenishes our exchange fund with new Russian military prisoners.
President Vladimir Zelensky said the Armed Forces’ operation in Russia’s Kursk region is continuing as expected, and that the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ bridgehead in the region is “getting stronger.”
“Today, General Syrsky reported the continuation of our movement in the Kursk region. The operation is proceeding exactly as we expected.
According to him, the Ukrainian Armed Forces are strengthening their position. “The bridge of our presence is becoming stronger I want to thank every soldier who ensures it: all soldiers, sergeants and commanders,” said the president.
The head of state also thanked each unit that fills our exchange fund with new Russian military prisoners.
“This is closer to freeing our military, our civilians from Russian captivity,” the president said.
Let’s remember that this month Ukraine and Russia must send delegations to Doha to negotiate a historic agreement that will stop attacks on energy and energy infrastructure on both sides, wrote journalists from The Washington Post, citing diplomats familiar with the negotiations. The article said the indirect talks, in which the Qataris mediated and met separately with the Ukrainian and Russian delegations, were disrupted by Ukraine’s surprise invasion of Russia’s western Kursk region last week. Such a possible agreement and the planned summit have not been reported anywhere before.
