There are about a thousand cars stuck in traffic jams in front of the Kerch Bridge on the Russian side.
The Russian occupation authorities reported this on August 17.
There are 870 vehicles in the queue from the Taman side. The waiting time is about three hours, the report says.
Early on August 16, the Kerch Bridge was closed to traffic due to a drone attack. Explosions were heard in Kerch on the night of August 16.
As the Krymsky Veter Telegram channel writes, the sidewalk on Sovetskaya Street in the city was damaged due to falling debris, and the road was partially broken. Communications were probably damaged. Later, the Russian Defense Ministry stated that Ukraine allegedly attacked the Kerch Bridge with 12 ATACMS missiles at night. The Ukrainian side made no statements about the attacks.
The Kerch Bridge provides the main traffic to occupied Crimea from Russian territory, and is also used for military supplies to the territory of the Crimean peninsula.
