Spanish Defense Minister Margarita Robles said she did not know if the Ukrainian Armed Forces were using Spanish equipment during the operation in the Kursk region, but noted that Ukraine should decide for itself how and when to use the weapons provided by Spain, The Kyiv Independent reports, citing EFE.
“This is a war, and therefore Ukraine will use the equipment it considers necessary at any moment,” said Robles, noting that the weapons that Spain provides to Kyiv are defensive.
Robles assured that Ukraine will always have the support of Spain, as well as the support of NATO.
We remind you that Germany allowed the Ukrainian Armed Forces to use weapons “at their own discretion.” The German Ministry of Defense stated that the weapons transferred to the Ukrainian side became the property of Ukraine and could be used by it as Kyiv deemed necessary and correct.
