The SBU exposed the rector of the UOC-MP church in the Cherkasy region, who justified the war crimes of the Rashists. The SBU press service reported this on Friday, August 16.
“According to the investigation, the defendant distributed a video to the residents of the community with calls not to participate in the fight against the Russian invasion and to travel abroad to the invaders and tried to discredit the highest military-political leadership of Ukraine Thus, the defendant weakened the socio-political situation in the region in favor of the aggressor country,” the report said.
The priest was informed of the suspicion of the justification of the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine and the glorification of its participants. He faces up to 8 years in prison with confiscation of assets.

It was earlier reported that a UOC-MP priest was in jail, preparing a strike in the military echelons. Two Russian military intelligence agents were detained, but the main defendant was a Russian citizen, the rector of one of the UOC MP’s Kharkov churches.
