The ships “pose a clear and present threat to US and coalition forces and commercial shipping in the region.”

In the past 24 hours, the American military destroyed two ships of Yemeni Houthi militants in the Red Sea. About this Wednesday, August 14, reported US Central Command (CENTCOM).

“Over the past 24 hours, US Central Command (USCENTCOM) forces have successfully destroyed two Iranian-backed Houthi ships in the Red Sea,” the post said.

It noted that the vessels “pose a clear and present threat to US and coalition forces, as well as to commercial vessels in the region.”

Centcom did not specify the class or type of liquidated Houthi vessels.

“This reckless and dangerous behavior by the Iran-backed Houthis continues to threaten the stability and security of the region,” the US department added.

Let us remind you that the Yemeni Houthis said that they attacked the container ship Lobivia, sailing under the flag of Singapore through the Gulf of Aden, with ballistic missiles and drones.

It was earlier reported that the Yemeni Houthis attacked two tankers with Russian cargo in the Red Sea.
