Since the beginning of the year, the Ministry of Defense has codified 70 new types of ammunition for UAVs. The press service of the ministry reported this on Saturday, August 10.
About 20 new drone munitions were reportedly codified and cleared for service in July. New designs include high-explosive, cumulative, combined action and multi-purpose bullets, varying in weight: from a few hundred grams to more than a few kilograms.
“The role of aerial unmanned systems on the battlefield is dynamically responding to military needs and increasing the production volume of UAVs of various types and purposes, active development of new models of drones, and also expanding their range of munitions for different types of UAVs,” the statement said.
We remind you that the German concern Rheinmetall is planning to build at least four factories in Ukraine where they will produce weapons.
