Ukrainian military personnel from the special unit of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Group 13, using the MAGURA V5 strike marine drone, destroyed another vessel of the Russian occupiers – a high-speed boat of the KS 701 project of the “Tunet” type.
The incident occurred on the night of August 8-9 near the village of Chernomorskoye in the temporarily occupied Crimea, the press service of the Main Intelligence Directorate reports.
As a result of the operation, three more of the hijackers’ watercraft were also damaged. Their type is being established, the report says.
It is noted that the Russians used high-speed transport and landing boats of the KS 701 project in occupied Crimea to patrol the waters and for logistics.
Scientists noted that this is not the first clandestine Tuna off the coast of the peninsula – two Russian vessels of this type were destroyed by reconnaissance aircraft, and two more were damaged in May of this year.
In total, 18 vessels of the aggressor state Russia were successfully hit with the help of these Ukrainian-made sea drones, 9 of which were destroyed, the GUR added.
