The government also decided today to intensify the program for installing alternative energy in administrative buildings, hospitals and schools.
The government adopted a resolution exempting customs authorities from the requirement to provide security for the payment of customs duties. Prime Minister Denis Shmyhal announced this at a government meeting on August 9, the government portal reports.
“We continue to decentralize the energy system in Ukraine that energy equipment is imported without duty and VAT to provide security for the payment of customs duties,” – he noted.
Shmygal added that the simplification of the procedure is necessary so that the equipment required for the Ukrainian energy sector can be imported into Ukraine as soon as possible, without delays and additional payments.
The Prime Minister also informed that the government today decided to intensify the program for installing alternative energy in administrative buildings, hospitals and schools.
“We are talking, first of all, about solar panels on the roofs, as well as about the installation of energy conservation units. This is a task both for the ministries and for all local leaders the buildings and schools are independent,” – he noted.
In the past, the Cabinet of Ministers supported the resolution introducing guarantees of the source of electricity produced from renewable energy sources (RES).
It was also reported that the Cabinet of Ministers decided to allocate 7.2 billion Hryvnias for the restoration of the energy system.
