President Volodymyr Zelensky says Ukraine is working hard to get its NATO neighbors to help it shoot down Russian missiles and drones. He said this in a speech on the evening of August 8.
According to Zelensky, today he held a meeting with experts on international affairs from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Defense, the military, the Main Intelligence Directorate and officials of the Presidential Office. The main topic of discussion was relations with NATO countries, including regional neighbors who are part of the Alliance.
The President noted that together with neighboring NATO countries, it is possible to add more security and stability to the region and throughout Europe. Therefore, practical steps are needed.
“Today we discussed our general capabilities for protecting against attacks from Russian missiles and drones – we are working on implementation,” Zelensky said.
We remind you that the representative of the US State Department, Matthew Miller, said that the decision on the possible shooting of Russian missiles by NATO countries on the territory of Ukraine should be made by the members of the Alliance together.
