Kamala Harris has narrowed her vice presidential candidates to two.
According to Reuters, Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro and Minnesota Governor Tim Walz remain contenders for the post.
Candidates will finally find out which of them has been chosen on the evening of Monday, August 5, or on the morning of Tuesday, August 6.
Note that Shapiro, at the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion, expressed support for Ukraine and published instructions on how Pennsylvania residents could donate to the affected Ukrainians.
At the same time, the Kyiv Independent writes that in foreign policy he has taken minimal actions in favor of Ukraine compared to other candidates.
Tim Walls also supports Ukraine, but has done more than his opponent: last year he met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, expressed support for Ukraine and declared his readiness to help Ukrainian refugees with all his might.
Journalists note that the candidates have in common that they are all white male politicians with centrist views, which will help Harris attract moderate voters and donors.
