At least four fuel storage tanks caught fire on the night of August 3 at the Russian fuel and lubricant warehouse of the Atlas plant after an attack by power steering drones. This is confirmed by satellite images published by Radio Liberty.
In particular, the PlanetLabs satellite image shows that at least four fuel tanks were affected by the fire. The publication notes that the fire was put out in less than a day compared to similar attacks.
According to the publication, this oil storage facility was completely rebuilt in 2019-2020. In 2020, as part of the Caucasus military exercises, a demonstration exercise was held here “on the distribution of petroleum products for the needs of the Russian Army.”
We remind you that last night the Ukrainian special services hit fuel warehouses in the Rostov and Belgorod regions of Russia. In particular, a warehouse of fuels and lubricants in the territory of the Atlas plant of the Office of the Federal Agency of State Reserves of the Russian Federation in the Rostov region and the Gubkinskaya oil depot in the Belgorod region were attacked.
The Defense Forces also attacked the Morozovsk military airport in the Rostov region. A massive explosion occurred at the facility.
