In the Izyum district of the Kharkov region, a 50-year-old man was injured after stepping on an explosive object. This was reported by the press service of the State Emergency Service of the Kharkov region on Friday, August 2.
“In the village of Kamenka, Izyum district, while working in his garden, a 50-year-old local resident stepped on an unknown explosive as a result of the explosion, he received a mine-explosive injury in the form of amputation of his foot,” the report said.
The man is undergoing treatment.
“We are appealing to citizens to strictly follow mine safety measures not to visit cemeteries, forests, belts, fields, and other open areas, especially the areas where the mine took place battles or those under enemy occupation objects, unexploded ordnance, anti-personnel and anti-tank mines,” warned the State Emergency Service.
Earlier it was reported that in the village of Staritsa, Kharkov region, during an independent evacuation in a forest belt, nine civilians were blown up on a Russian tripwire. Three of them died and six were injured.
