He was found guilty of abandonment – on the night of June 1, 2023, he did not open the shelter of the clinic, as a result of which three people were killed in a missile strike.
Moshkin did not admit his guilt. His lawyer explained that everything happened very quickly and the man simply did not have time to open the door to the shelter.
According to the prosecutor’s office, Moshkin changed his testimony several times and finally told the court that the hospital premises were not equipped with a shelter at all and he was not obliged to open it.
Last June, at about three in the morning, people were unable to use the shelter of a clinic in the Desnyansky district of Kyiv, because the door was locked. An explosion occurred between the houses, as a result of which two women and a child died near the clinic, and four more people were injured. They all came to the shelter.
