Propagandists want to stir up resistance to mobilization in Ukraine by spreading some fakes. They are also trying to create panic and desire to leave Ukraine.
The Russians tried to publish an article in the Ukrainian media purporting to be from the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine. Its purpose is to provoke resistance among Ukrainians about joining the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and spread panic. This was reported on Monday, July 29, by the Center for Strategic Communications.
“A letter from the supposed Chief Intelligence Director of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine with a request to publish an article titled “It’s time to get yours back!” the message said.
However, the GUR MOU did not send any letters to the local media.
In addition, the article has clear signs of a “filling” of Russia, as it describes the unfavorable situation at the front, and blames the country’s leadership for the failure of mobilization.
It is also said that:
-
the military command assumes mobilization powers.
-
Informing law enforcement agencies of persons who evade their constitutional duty is encouraged.
-
TCC representatives were allegedly authorized to use weapons without any reason to prevent people liable for military service.
“Thus, propagandists want to cause resistance among citizens about joining the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine And create panic and a desire to leave Ukraine,” the Center for Strategic Communications emphasized.
It is also reported that the dissemination of pseudostaty from the Main Intelligence Directorate is not allowed by the MOU.
