Over the past 24 hours, 261 fires have broken out in natural ecosystems of Ukraine, covering a total area of 202.23 hectares.

The State Emergency Service press service reported this today, July 29.
The largest number of fires was recorded in:
- Dnepropetrovsk region – 74 (51.92 hectares);
- Kharkiv region – 29 (10.1 ha);
- Odessa region – 27 (13.1 hectares).
In particular, today in the city of Novy Bug, Bashtansky district, Nikolaev region, an elderly woman almost died in such a fire.
Grass caught fire near a residential area, the fire spilled over into one of the yards — the flames engulfed a barn. The owner, an elderly woman born in 1931, tried to save her property and put out the fire herself. She failed, — the State Emergency Service notes. — Neighbors pulled the grandmother out of the fire and provided first aid, the woman received burns to her arms and legs.”
The victim was hospitalized. The fire, with a total area of 530 square meters, was extinguished by rescuers.
