She told journalists about this in Kyiv, the publication “European Pravda” reports.
Pritzker cited her initial term as the reason for her decision, but also acknowledged that she would not work to extend it.
I must say with sadness in my heart: congressional requirements limit my time in this position to one year. Therefore, this is my last trip to Kyiv as a special representative. But I remain dedicated to this mission and this work, she noted.
Pritzker assured that even after her dismissal, the American administration will continue to work on the issue of restoring Ukraine.
I am not the only one who is dedicated to this work, the Biden administration is dedicated to the economic recovery of Ukraine, so there will be consistency in our work, she emphasized.
Pritzker also noted that this was her sixth trip to Ukraine in less than a year since her appointment to this position – US President Joe Biden appointed her as Special Representative for Ukraine’s Economic Recovery on September 14, 2023.
