The press service of Ukrposhta, in turn, emphasized that the stamp is not official, but made to order from loved ones as part of the Own Stamp project.
As Natalya Mukhina, head of the department of philatelic products of Ukrposhta, said, the stamps were produced in a limited edition by order of private individuals.
Regarding whether Ukrposhta can now issue official postage stamps dedicated to the linguist, Natalya Mukhina explained:
“No, because during the war we froze the issues of stamps dedicated to personalities No, because according to established rules, stamps to personalities are issued on birthday anniversaries, but not earlier than 10 years after death, so that the person’s contribution can be evaluated objectively – without unnecessary emotions.”
