The likely Democratic presidential candidate has already formed a shortlist that includes three politicians.
Current US Vice President Kamala Harris has focused on three candidates who could potentially become US Vice President if she wins the presidential election. Bloomberg reported this on Saturday, July 27.
It was noted that Harris considered a wide range of candidates for the position of US Vice President from the Democrats. However, people familiar with the process say a short list of applicants has already been released.
This includes three elected officials who are popular throughout the country. The list includes:
-
Arizona State Senator Mark Kelly;
-
Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro;
-
Minnesota Governor Tim Walz.
Meanwhile, Harris campaign spokesman Kevin Munoz said the vice president has instructed his team to begin the process of vetting potential candidates for the vice presidential position.
Harris is expected to choose on August 7 to fit the party’s plan to actually nominate a slate of candidates by that date.
It was previously reported that Harris criticized Trump at his first campaign rally.
