According to Defense Minister Rustem Umerov, this will ensure the high quality and reliability of these medical supplies.
In June, Babel wrote that over the course of a year and a half, the National Guard, rescuers, and law enforcement officers purchased 33 thousand unreliable turnstiles.
A tourniquet is used to stop massive bleeding, which is one of the most common causes of death on the battlefield. An incorrectly selected or low-quality tourniquet may not only fail to help, but also cause harm. Therefore, it is important to use certified tourniquets from trusted manufacturers.
The Ministry of Defense provided a short list of certified turnstiles that can most often be found in Ukraine:
- CAT Gen 7
- SAM-XT
- SOF TT
There are also a number of Ukrainian manufacturers that have not yet received certification and have positive reviews from military personnel and combat medics:

- DNIPRO
