The brigade worked with unit commanders and personnel, checked the decisions made and combat orders of the command. The working group also examined issues of organizing the execution of combat missions. The Military Law Enforcement Service of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this on Facebook on July 26.
The commission did not reveal any cases of criminal orders. However, individual facts of management decisions and factors that could have a negative impact on the performance of military tasks were recorded. The Supreme Commander-in-Chief stated that “appropriate decisions and measures” had been taken.
In order to prevent such a thing from happening again, the leadership of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has made appropriate decisions and taken a number of measures aimed at preventing such cases. Individual officials of the brigade command have been held accountable, the department noted.
Recall that recently paramedic Kateryna Polischuk (Ptichka) called for an internal investigation into the 59th separate motorized infantry brigade named after Yakov Handzyuk. According to her, brigade commander Bohdan Shevchuk gave criminal orders that resulted in the death of a large number of soldiers. She accused the commander of selfishness, blind careerism, the elimination of all dissenting commanders and the suppression of fighting spirit.
