By advocating support for dialogue with Russia and bilateral channels of relations, US presidential candidate Donald Trump is showing “more wisdom” than other American politicians. This is what Kremlin Speaker Dmitry Peskov said, RossMI reported on Friday, July 26.
“He (Trump – ed.) shows a little more wisdom in terms of supporting dialogue channels, but de facto it does not have much influence on anything, we need to know this,” said the press secretary of the Kremlin head.
At the same time, Peskov said that the Kremlin “has no illusions about the US political establishment” and never “wears and does not wear rose-colored glasses.”
The Kremlin spokesman recalled that the race of US sanctions against Russia began during Trump’s presidency.
“In this respect, he is not much different for us from others. Perhaps he shows a little political wisdom to support the dialogue channels, but in fact he has no special influence on anything,” added Peskov.
Let’s remember that Trump has previously said that under his presidency “we will never be threatened with war” and that he will not allow Russian leader Vladimir Putin to start a war against Ukraine.
