Ukrainian power engineers are able to repair energy facilities in a matter of hours thanks to protective structures in substations. This was announced by the head of the board of NEC Ukrenergo Vladimir Kudrytsky at a briefing on Friday, July 26.
He said that after the latest Russian attack, power supplies to consumers were restored in a very short time.
“We owe it, of course, to the protection built in our substations. It is unique for us and for any other energy system, not in a few weeks, but in a few hours, this is the specific work of the protection in engineering,” said Kudritsky.
He also added that the Air Defense Forces are helping to protect the energy system.
It became known that the situation in the Ukrainian energy system has improved. The hardest part of summer is behind us.
Just this week, a nuclear power plant unit was launched ahead of schedule in Ukraine. This is the second power unit to be repaired in July.
