Warhead of Russian missile defused in forest of Sumy region (PHOTO)

    In Sumy Oblast, police bomb disposal experts defused the warhead of a Russian X-59 missile that fell in a forest on the border and did not explode.

    The National Police press service reported this today, July 25.

    A mobile group from the police bomb squad went to the crash site, defused the munition, and subsequently destroyed it at a special testing ground by detonating it, the report said.

    The police note that if any ammunition, suspicious objects similar to ammunition or their parts are found:

    • under no circumstances should you approach them or touch them;
    • You must call emergency services at 112, 101 or 102.
