Five detainees were declared suspicious under Part 1 of Art. 263 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (illegal possession of weapons, ammunition or explosives).
The Security Service, together with the National Police, prevented the illegal sale of weapons and ammunition in three regions of Ukraine. In Kyiv, Donetsk and Dnepropetrovsk regions, five organizers of illegal businesses were detained in the act. The SBU press service reported this on Thursday, July 25.
The attackers tried to sell samples of military weapons found at the sites of previous clashes to criminals.
Among the seized items were Russian Pecheneg and Kord machine guns, AK-12 assault rifles, an arsenal of anti-tank grenade launchers and explosives.
Law enforcement officials detained an attacker who was attempting to illegally sell an AK-74 assault rifle and four military grenades.
During the cache inspection and search of the detainee’s residence, the following were additionally confiscated:

4 kg of explosives with electric detonators;

more than 20 grenade launcher shots;

16 combat grenades;

2 Kalashnikov assault rifles;

2 pistols, including the Makarov system;

more than 2 thousand cartridges of different calibers.
One of the defendants was detained when he tried to get 32 thousand dollars for the sale of an entire arsenal of weapons. Among them: Utes and Kord heavy machine guns, the Dragunov sniper rifle and the Fagot anti-tank missile system.
Five detainees were declared suspicious under Part 1 of Art. 263 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (illegal possession of weapons, ammunition or explosives).
The culprits are in custody. They face up to 7 years in prison.
