Czech Republic joins Drone Coalition helping Ukraine fight Russian aggression.
The Czech Republic joins the Drone Coalition for Ukraine. This was reported by the press service of the Latvian Ministry of Defense on Monday, July 22.
“I am very pleased to welcome the Czech Republic to the Drone Coalition, which is helping Ukraine resist Russian aggression,” said Latvian Defense Minister Andris Spruds.
After the annexation of the Czech Republic, the number of coalition members increased to 16.
“The countries of the Drone Coalition have already made a significant contribution to the Ukrainian army by providing drones. This year, Latvia has allocated 20 million euros for the Drone Coalition,” said the country’s Ministry of Defense.
We remind you that the Coalition of Drones and Electronic Warfare was created by Ukraine and Latvia in December 2023. Subsequently, Great Britain, the Netherlands, Germany, Estonia and Canada joined it.
In June, Britain and Latvia announced the first tender for drones for Ukraine. The competition will select manufacturers who can provide drones on a large scale and at an affordable price.
The participating countries of the Drone Coalition for Ukraine signed a memorandum providing for the creation of a general fund of 45 million euros.
