The animal “agreed” to get a job in the strategic communications department of the diplomatic department.

A small black kitten was found in the courtyard of the Lithuanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The diplomats decided to leave the animal in the care of the department. Lithuanian Foreign Minister Gabrielius Landsbergis announced this on Friday, July 19.

He said the cat was named Rango.

According to the minister, the foundling was immediately upgraded to the status of “official cat of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Lithuania.” Now he “works” in the department of strategic communication of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

“Everyone said, ‘Grow up big and strong, Rango.’ We don’t even have rats, but StratCom is about building resilience, right?” – emphasized the ministry.

It was previously reported that the University of Vermont awarded an honorary doctorate to Max the cat, who is much loved by students.

A collar that translates animal sounds into a form that humans can understand has been created in Lvov.
