Ukrainian intelligence did not record the formation of Russian offensive groups on the territory of Belarus, and at the same time, the preparation of a DRG with the participation of Belarusian military personnel was observed. “Ukrainian intelligence informs us that, so far, we have not recorded the formation of any offensive Russian grouping on the territory of this country (Belarus – ed.). However, we are closely monitoring the situation. In addition, our intelligence We are also informed about that, so far, the facts of the preparation of Russian forces in the territory of this part of the sabotage and reconnaissance groups from the military personnel of the Republic of Belarus have been recorded. There is such information, ” said Motuzyanyk.
According to him, now there are up to six battalions of the Belarusian army near the border with Ukraine (previously there were seven). They are strengthening the border section in the Brest and Gomel regions and trying to conduct aerial reconnaissance on the borders of Ukraine and Poland, and are also conducting demonstrative actions.
The representative of the Ministry of Defense added that the threat of Russia using missiles and air strikes from the territory of Belarus remains.
At a meeting on June 25, Putin said Russia would transfer the Iskander-M to Belarus in the coming months, which could use both ballistic and cruise missiles, “both in conventional and nuclear versions.”
