The G7 countries have agreed to continue to support Ukraine in the war with Russia, whose end has yet to be seen.
French President Emmanuel Macron said, after Russia’s strike at a shopping center in Kremenchuk, that Russia should not win the war against Ukraine, according to Le Figaro on Tuesday, June 28.
He called the strike a “war crime” on something civilian.
“Russia cannot and should not win, and therefore our support for Ukraine and our sanctions against Russia will continue as long as necessary and with the necessary intensity in the coming weeks and months,” Macron said.
Macron said he does not accept the qualification of a state sponsor of Russia -related terrorism. “We don’t need any qualifications to impose these sanctions against Moscow,” he said.
According to him, statements that Russia is ready to end the war against Ukraine if Kyiv fulfills the two ultimatums are an element of verbal intimidation, nothing more.
“No one expects the war to end in the next few weeks or months,” Macron added.
The same expectations about the duration of the war were expressed by German Chancellor Olaf Scholz.
He also mentioned the discussion of the idea of †‹вЂ‹ the introduction of a limit on oil prices in the Russian Federation.
“About a possible limit on oil prices: this is a very ambitious, promising idea … this is what we really need to do. We have to continue to study, do it,” Scholz said.
It will be recalled that after Russia’s strike at the mall in Kremenchug, President Volodymyr Zelensky called for Russia to be declared a sponsor of terrorism.
According to the latest data, 25 people fell victim to the strike, 21 are missing.
