Kolomoisky will remain in custody with an alternative bail of 1.9 billion hryvnias. The preventive measure has not changed from the previous decision.
Kyiv’s Shevchenkovsky District Court extended the preventive measure for businessman Igor Kolomoisky until September 2, 2024. This was announced by the speaker of the Office of the Prosecutor General Nadezhda Maksimets in a commentary Ukrinform on Friday, July 19th.
Kolomoisky will remain in custody with an alternative bail of 1.9 billion hryvnias. The preventive measure has not changed from the previous decision.
Kolomoisky is suspected of taking almost 6 billion hryvnias from the largest private Ukrainian bank.
Let’s remember that Kolomoisky has been in the detention center of the Security Service of Ukraine since September 2, 2023, on suspicion of fraud and property laundering by the Bureau of Economic Security.
Then this suspicion preventive measure was issued for arrest until June 2 with bail in the amount of UAH 1.9 billion, so bail was not issued for a new suspicion.
As you know, on April 22, the court extended the measure to prevent Kolomoisky in the form of detention until June 2, but again reduced the bail alternative – from 2.4 billion Hryvnia to 1.96 billion Hryvnia.
