In the wake of mass car arson in Odessa, additional checks will be conducted on military vehicles. This was announced by the head of the Odessa OVA Oleg Kiper during a briefing on July 18.

    .

According to Kiper, there are suspicions that not all persons using these vehicles are military. Some people wear uniforms without identification marks and simply drive around the city. In this regard, an order was issued to recheck the origin and purpose of these vehicles. It is also planned to contact commanders to automate the process and bring order to the use of transport in the city.

The latest car burnings, according to the head of the Odessa OVA, are sabotage actions aimed at destabilizing the situation.

Who benefits from setting two cars on fire to create panic? As soon as the car catches fire, all the telegrams report it. We receive most of the information from enemy channels. We know who ordered these arsons and we are working to stop their activities. Our task is to ensure the safety of the city and the region, – Intent quotes the official.

He added that investigative and law enforcement agencies are actively investigating the incidents. Citizens are urged to remain calm and report suspicious activity to the appropriate services.

Recently, the regional department of the Troops of the South Troops responded to the mass arson of military vehicles in Odessa.

Last month, the Security Service of Ukraine and the National Police said they had foiled a series of terrorist attacks in Odessa by detaining two men working for the Russian Federal Security Service in the city.

Earlier in Odessa, law enforcement officers detained teenagers who were recruited for sabotage by Russian special services. Now the young people face up to 15 years in prison.

A few days later, in the Odessa region, police detained teenagers who, for money, set fire to military transport from the TCC and SP.
